Markets are back for 2021 with fresh fruits and vegetables, chicken and seafood on tap – with a return of non-food vendors offering crafts, clothing, jewelry and more.
Many markets aim to be waste free. Customers can help out by bringing shopping bags, water bottles, plates and cutlery to eat at the food trucks.
To keep markets open and safe, buyers are encouraged to protect themselves, other customers, market staff, and sellers. Basic protocols include: staying home if you feel sick; respect physical distance from others; do not linger, allow others to shop; wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face; cough or sneeze into a tissue or elbow; avoid handling items that you do not intend to buy; and wash reusable bags and baskets regularly.
