Harris Farm Markets has unveiled plans for its first store in Canberra, announcing an outlet in the Majura Park retail area at Canberra Airport.
Harris Farm Markets Co-General Manager Tristan Harris said Majura Park will be Harris Farm Markets’ 29th store.
“The Australian Capital Territory and nearby New South Wales Southern Tablelands are renowned for their rich food and incredible assortment of fruit and vegetables which we look forward to celebrating at this store by working with so many wonderful growers and makers we thrive on,” Harris said.
The Majura Park store will allow us to showcase local flavors, and being purpose built will also allow us to design and create a store of the future – to celebrate all of this edible goodness, which is what we do as business for over 50 years. »
Canberra Airport property manager Richard Snow said construction of the new 4,500m2 purpose-built building will begin in mid-2022 and Harris Farm Markets is expected to open in time for Christmas 2023.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Harris Farm Markets and that they have chosen Majura Park as the headquarters for their new large format flagship store in Canberra,” said Snow.
“They are a fantastic addition to our growing retail district, and they will complement our existing grocery offering.”
