Harris Farm Markets is now open on the Gold Coast

Family-owned Harris Farm Markets has opened the flavorful doors of its first Gold Coast store: in Via Roma on the Isle of Capri.

Covering 1,500 m², the store on the island of Capri houses more than 500 ranges of fruit and vegetables, a gourmet grocery section of local products, a delicatessen, more than 400 cheeses, a top-of-the-range butcher’s shop with nine butchers at your fingertips. main, a market fishmonger and a superb bakery thanks to Bread Social. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES – more than 500 ranges of fruit and vegetables including organic products. Some local fruit and vegetable favorites are Little Acre, our gourmet mushroom supplier from Brisbane, Straws from Sunshine Coast & Caboolture, Avos from Toowoomba (in season now!) and crisp lettuce and celery from Redland.

CHEESE WALK – more than 400 cheeses, including a range of vegan and local stars Barambah, Woombye, Olympus and Casa Motta among others.

Harris Farm Markets co-CEO Tristan Harris, one of three Harris sons who now run the business after parents David and Cathy Harris retired, said he was delighted to finally open on the Gold Coast.

In November 2020, Harris Farm Markets opened its first store in Queensland, after a 30-year absence from the state.

This Clayfield Markets store was the original site Harris Farm owned 30 years ago before selling it to Carlo and Susan Lorenti who ran a produce market, and in a full circle story Harris Farm bought it back and Carlo and Susan stayed on as managers.

The flagship store opened in West Village in the West End in July this year and when the Isle of Capri store opens in November, over 300 locals will be employed across the three Queensland stores, and food from over of 320 Queensland producers will be showcased.
